Snapshot: Accommodations and Modifications

Here is a snapshot of how I help to level the playing field in the classroom. I use many strategies to provide a equitable learning environment.

Assistive Technology:

Google Read and Write + Voki

• For students with Learning Disabilities and/or anxiety of presentations.

• Allows students to express and represent their knowledge in a different form.

• Students can type or record their voice and pair it with a customized character.

• Educators can login and track and regulate various forms within the program.

iPad - Epic! apps

• Epic! is one of the many applications that I use in the classroom.

• Epic has a collection of books for all ages.

• It reads to students and give option for students to read themselves.

• Allows for teacher to check in on minutes spent reading each book and number of books read.

• Goal: Encourage student to feel comfortable in the classroom and be aware of support.
