Here is a snapshot of how I help to level the playing field in the classroom. I use many strategies to provide a equitable learning environment.
Assistive Technology:
Google Read and Write + Voki
For students with Learning Disabilities and/or anxiety of presentations.
Allows students to express and represent their knowledge in a different form.
Students can type or record their voice and pair it with a customized character.
Educators can login and track and regulate various forms within the program.

iPad - Epic! apps
Epic! is one of the many applications that I use in the classroom.
Epic has a collection of books for all ages.
It reads to students and give option for students to read themselves.
Allows for teacher to check in on minutes spent reading each book and number of books read.

Bravery Ladder
Case Study: Selective Mute student
Goal: Encourage student to feel comfortable in the classroom and be aware of support.
Used Nonverbal communication, gestures and finally mouthing.
Amazing progress!
