OCDSB vote on gifted program angers parents
CBC, 31 October 2018
In a motion deferred by the board of trustees, parents of gifted students were looking to expand the program to allow more children into the specialized classrooms for gifted students in the OCDSB. These parents feel that their children's learning needs are not being met in the tiered intervention approach currently offered by the board. Additionally, parents of students with other exceptionalities are angry that these changes to the gifted program would further divert funds away from their children.
